Partners with the Lynn Community

St. Mary's is located in historic downtown Lynn: the largest city in Essex County, an urban manufacturing and commercial center, densely populated and culturally diverse. Residents are proud of the city's long history, which parallels the history of New England as a whole.

Lynn is located just 9 miles from Boston on the northern shore of Massachusetts Bay.

St. Mary's students travel to St. Mary's by car, foot, MBTA commuter rail (just a 6 minute walk from the Lynn Station), MBTA bus (connections to several busses less than a 5 minute walk away), and we will be instituting a St. Mary's shuttle (more details to follow) in the 2017-2018 school year.

We are proud to partner with many Lynn and Greater Boston community and arts organizations in providing tremendous value to our students.

Lynn, city of firsts!

Lynn officials are hoping that some of the 40,000 drivers who head toward Boston on the Lynnway every weekday will choose to take a new Lynn-Boston ferry that can bring them to the edge of the Financial District in about 35 minutes.

The ferry, located at the newly renovated Blossom Street Extension and run by Boston Harbor Cruises, began its route on May 19 and will run three round trips each weekday to Boston’s Central Wharf — next to the New England Aquarium—until Sept. 12. Read more about the new ferry!

Lynn was also recently listed in the Boston Globe's Greater Boston's Top Spots to Live 2014 list of ten up-and-coming communities in the Greater Boston area! See the list and what they have to say about our city here.
