May 31, 2019 MARIAN DIVISION ARTWORK CREATED BY EIGHTH GRADER PAYTON QUIRK. SPARTANS SHINE
St. Mary's is special because of the unique and shining qualities of our students that walk in our hallways everyday. St. Mary's shapes authentic men and women of talent and faith. Payton Quirk '23 and Amanda Mena '21 are two of many students who shine this week.
Payton has created a beautiful piece of art replicating St. Mary's (pictured above). This piece was chosen to be featured in her eighth grade yearbook.
Amanda was selected to sing with the Boston Pops this past Wednesday, May 23 as part of the young artist competition. Amanda is also the only young artist chosen to sing with the Boston Pops for the annual Fourth of July concert on the Charles River Esplanade this year, along with Queen Latifa who will headline the show. Amanda Mena wowed audiences in "America's Got Talent" last year and is slated to perform a tribute to Aretha Franklin.
