September 20, 2019 THE STEEL WORK HAS BEGUN FOR OUR BUILDING FUTURES PROJECT. ACHIEVING MILESTONES
The St. Mary's Building Futures project has officially gone vertical! This past week, the first structural steel was raised, creating the frame of our new building. The construction progress has made great strides this month and we are excited to see what is next.
This week was full of exciting milestones for Spartan Athletics. Coach Foley achieved his 250th win, a new state championship banner was hung and the first ever Spartans Field Hockey team won their first game of the season!
On Wednesday, the Student Activities Fair was held for new students to get familiar with all the clubs St. Mary's has to offer. Later that evening, student leaders returned to campus to work the Back to School Night. Read on below for more Spartan news.

SPARTAN NEWS 250 WINS FOR COACH FOLEY Congratulations Coach Foley on your 250th win! St. Mary's girls soccer coach, Jim Foley has been leading the St. Mary's girls soccer program for 21 seasons. The Lady Spartan's victory on Friday, September 13 marked a great accomplishment for Coach Foley. Read more here.
ST. MARY'S CREW TRAINING BEGINS The first ever St. Mary's Crew practice was held Tuesday, September 17 in our on campus Erg room. Coach Goldenheim is eager to begin their season after welcoming about 19 students to practice ready to begin their journey in Crew.
STUDENT ACTIVITIES FAIR Club leaders set up presentations of their respective clubs during lunch so that new students can get familiar with the extra curricular activities they can join.
The 2019 St. Mary's Baseball Championship banner was hung in the Tony Conigliaro '62 gymnasium this week! 2019 is a great addition to the 2015, 1988 and 1987 Championship banners.
BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT St. Mary's students guiding parents toward their students' classes during Back to School Night on Wednesday, September 18. Parents were given an opportunity to meet their students' teachers and learn of their classroom objectives for the year.

SPARTAN PRIDE A SUCCESSFUL FIRST CROSS COUNTRY MEET The first Cross Country meet finished at Bishop Fenwick High School on September 17. Our Spartans fought hard for the team and they did very well.

AUTUMN MOON FESTIVAL St. Mary's international students enjoying mooncakes for the Autumn Moon Festival last Friday, September 13.
The Autumn Moon festival is a time in Chinese and Vietnamese culture to celebrate the harvest and full moon with their friends and family. Mooncakes are traditionally shared with friends and family and symbolize the full moon and reunion of the family.
St. Mary's Lady Spartans Riley Lynch '20, Katie Donovan '20, Katelyn O'Neill '20 and Morgan Macky '20 attended the Women's Leadership summit on Saturday, September 14 at Bentley University.
Field Hockey won their first ever victory at Manning Field last week over Northeast! Goal scorers in the game were Pej'ae Parent '21, Kelly Lovett '23 and Jill Kirby '23. Congratulations!
