November 15, 2019 VETERANS DAY CEREMONY HONORING VETERANS
The St. Mary's Veterans Day Ceremony was held on Friday, November 8.
The Spartan community gathered in the gym and heard from two special guest speakers and Veterans, Dave J. Solimine Sr., Air National Guard and Peter Tuttle, USN USMC Vietnam 1966.
Mr. Solimine shared experiences where he was a witness to true sacrifice and kindness.
Mr. Tuttle sent a powerful message by walking the students through his operations in a full battalion over a three month span.
Mr. Tuttle put in perspective the physical sacrifice the men endured during their time in Vietnam.
St. Mary's teacher Robert Logue and long-term substitute Nan Baecher were also recognized for their service during the assembly. There were performances by Amanda Mena '21 who sang National Anthem, Tara Powers '23 played Taps on the trumpet and Titamah Simpson '20 who sang God Bless America.
Thank you Beverly Buckley and the St. Mary's Student Council for putting the Ceremony together.

Please submit your prayer intentions here. Those for whom you ask remembrance are an important part of the St. Mary's community. All of the names we receive will be placed on the altar in our Student Chapel and your loved ones will be remembered in the prayers of our school community.
