GIRLS HOCKEY: Mady Hentosh and Codi Butt leading the way for 12-2 Spartans

"That somewhat unique ability to create goals, both on the rush and on the power play, are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what these two junior dynamos bring to St. Mary's, probably the state's third-best team at the moment.

"They're tremendous leaders, great kids on and off the ice that are great role models for our younger kids," said Spartans coach Frank Pagliuca, his squad 13-2 with the lone losses to unbeatens Austin Prep and Woburn." - Salem News

BOYS HOCKEY: Spartans take down BC High 3-2 with late goal from Anthony Bono

"It took the Spartans until the final minute of a back-and-forth third period to snap BC High's streak, as senior Anthony Bono scored the game-winning goal with 47.4 seconds left to lift St. Mary's to a 3-2 nonleague win.

"I'm just so proud of my guys," said St. Mary's coach Mark Lee. "They gave everything they had and that's what it takes from the goaltender out. They were on their game. We've been playing BC for a number of years and to finally get a 'W' was huge for our program."

St. Mary's (10-3-4) was in control when Nicholas Napolitano set up Colin Reddy for a breakaway tally and 2-0 lead with 6:35 left in the third period, but it was just the beginning of a wild third period." - Boston Herald

Pamela Gonzalez becomes the 6th girls player all time to score 1000 points!

"Needing 17 points to join the 1,000-point club, on the road against one of the state's top-ranked teams in Cathedral, Gonzalez did five better with a 22-point performance in a 63-58 loss to the Panthers on Monday night.

Gonzalez's career milestone came on a lay-up in the third quarter, when the junior took the ball from the top of the key, drove to the paint and hit the basket while drawing a foul."
