Hall of Fame

Quinn, who passed away in 2017, worked as an insurance broker for more than 50 years and started Quinn of Lynn Insurance in 1990. He also served as Clerk Magistrate in Lynn District Court from 1969-92. He was active at St. Mary’s and in the Greater Lynn community, serving on the boards of the Lynn YMCA, Nahant Lions Club, Kiwanis Club, Ancient Order of Hibernians and Knights of Columbus. Quinn, who has had seven grandchildren attend St Mary’s, joins his father, Dr. Thomas Quinn Sr., in the St. Mary’s Hall of Fame. He was a graduate of the University of Scranton.

Conlon was an educator in Lynn Public Schools for 40 years, starting as a teacher at Eastern Junior High (now Marshall Middle School) and moving on to Lynn Vocational Technical Institute, where he rose to the level of director. He also coached baseball at Tech, leading the 1973 team to a MIAA state championship. Conlon was also an accomplished high school and collegiate football official. Conlon earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Salem State University.

Eagan was a teacher and then principal of Sacred Heart School for 31 years, retiring in 2016. A champion for the underserved, she oversaw the school’s move from Robinson Street to Boston Street in 1989, the addition of pre-school, and new programs in technology and the arts. She earned a bachelor’s degree at Salem State and a master’s from Emmanuel College.

Magner worked in public relations and advertising for New England Telephone/Nynex/Verizon for almost 25 years, based in Maine and New York City. She sits on the board of directors at My Brothers Table, where she also volunteers and serves as a consultant. She has also served on the board at Greater Lynn Senior Services and Lynn Economic Opportunity. She studied journalism and political science at Marquette University, graduating in 1971.

Doyle has worked in the financial services industry his entire career. At Natixis Investment Management he has had roles leading Sales, Marketing & Communications, Operations, Strategy, Data and Client Relations globally. His most recent position was Global Chief Marketing Officer. A member of the board of trustees, he served as co-chair of the Ascend 2026 Strategic Plan. He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from Salem State University.

After earning a bachelor’s degree from John Carroll University in Ohio, Mannion embarked on a career in banking that has spanned more than 40 years, and counting. She was the manager of the former Century Bank on State Street in Lynn for several years. When Century merged with Eastern Bank in 2021, she was named associate manager of Eastern’s Market Street, Lynn branch. Mannion served on the Finance Committee at St. Mary’s for several years and serves on the Finance Council at Saint Mary of the Sacred Heart Parish.

Fritz has been an educator in Lynn Public Schools for 30 years, working as a teacher, instructional facilitator and staff developer prior to becoming principal of Lynn Woods Elementary School, a position she has held for 17 years. Lynn Woods has been acknowledged as a Commendation School by the Mass. Department of Elementary and Secondary Education three years in a row. A member of the St. Mary’s Board of Trustees, Fritz served as co-chair of the Ascend 2026 Strategic Plan. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Assumption College in 1990 and a master’s in elementary education from Salem State in 1997.

Foley returned to St. Mary’s in 1998 as an English and religion middle school teacher and spent 15 years in the classroom, before being named dean of grades 6-8 in 2013. She remains in that role, serving as assistant principal for the middle school division in the new K-12 set-up that was implemented this year when the Sacred Heart School operation was moved to the Tremont Street campus. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s in special education and teaching from Salem State.
