Class of 2025 Commencement Speakers

This year’s 2025 Commencement speakers will share 3 vignettes on overcoming obstacles, beating the odds and achieving in life.  Our speakers faced life-altering challenges, but with humor, realizing their own vulnerability, and a healthy dose of faith, they successfully navigated their journey of overcoming obstacles. The join us to share the valuable lessons learned along the way.

Stephen Dolan

Stephen Dolan is the oldest of the Dolan boys from St. Louis, Missouri.  His younger brother, Dr. John F. Dolan serves as the St. Mary’s Head of School. Steve enjoyed a successful career in international shipping.  Mr. Dolan steadily advanced his career posts throughout a series of promotions with American President Lines (APL) based on exceptional performance.  He finished his time with APL as Vice President for Middle East and East Africa Operations in Dubai, UAE.

Steve will share the story of his senior year of high school.  It is a story of the devastating loss of a parent on the weekend he graduated from high school.  Steve’s faith lifted him from this tragedy. Steve will share with our Class of 2025 how their faith is all they need to overcome the obstacles they will undoubtedly face in their life ahead.

Mavis Guy P'25'27

Mavis Guy P'25'28 lives in Lynn and serves at Smith Tano Dental Group as a Dental Assistant. She earned her Bachelors degree in healthcare administration, with a minor in healthcare Information Management. Mavis then went on to earn a Dentistry Service Certificate and has used that training to find a rewarding and satisfying career serving her patients.

Mavis is a committed wife and a dedicated mother to her two children.  Mavis loves to spend time with family and friends. Over the past years Mavis has become part of the St. Mary's family and community which has brought her great joy. Mavis will share her story about how love, unconditional support and believing in those you love, can change your life.

Paul Price '75

Paul D. Price is a graduate St. May’s High School, class of 1975 and parent of three St. Mary's graduates years '01, '04 and '06. Paul continued his education after St. Mary’s at Providence College where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting followed by his Master of Science in Taxation from Bentley College. Paul works as a Certified Public Accountant at Neal Price & Co. Paul has served as a member of St Mary's Board of Trustees since October 2011.
